LOTTE Mart has been developing its business, enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products, and creating an enjoyable shopping experience for consumers over the last decade, while also contributing to Vietnam’s socioeconomic development.

LOTTE Mart Vietnam, under South Korea’s LOTTE Group, established its first supermarket in the country in 2008, in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7, and was one of the first foreign retailers to find success. The South Korean retailer has now built 14 supermarkets in the country’s major cities and provinces, such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Vung Tau, Can Tho, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Khanh Hoa.

Leading the market with a modern retail model, LOTTE Mart sells a diverse range of products, with more than 50,000 items on its shelves from food to home appliances, electronics, and fashion, with high quality, reasonable prices and professional services. All products are strictly controlled so that LOTTE Mart can bring fresh and safe products to Vietnamese consumers.

It always places priority on domestic goods when doing business. Vietnamese goods now account for 90-95 per cent of the goods in its supermarkets around the country. LOTTE Mart also actively works in a cooperative effort to bring high-quality Vietnamese products to the LOTTE Choice L brand. With a global supermarket network, LOTTE Mart is also an effective export channel for domestic businesses.

LOTTE Mart has also introduced more than 2,100 private label products to Vietnamese consumers, many of which were a resounding hit in South Korea, contributing to a better shopping experience and greater convenience. Entertainment, cultural and artistic spaces with 3D paintings, music every weekend, and other exciting shows are also found at LOTTE Mart supermarkets nationwide.

In addition to its customer service activities, promoting economic development and trade activities while assisting Vietnamese businesses to reach out the world, LOTTE Mart also organizes meaningful community programs, such as supporting farmers during the storm season, organizing visits and giving gifts to the elderly, supporting Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen provinces, which were affected by Storm No. 12, and being involved in Operation Smile, which provides free surgery to children with cleft palates and hare-lips.

After ten years in Vietnam, LOTTE Mart has increasingly received the support and trust of customers as a quality shopping destination. With the unceasing efforts of its board of directors and staff, prestigious awards include Top 3 Retailers 2017, Top 3 Floating Brands Vietnam 2017, Brand Family Trust 2017, Top 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam for four consecutive years, from 2015 to 2018, and Top three famous brands in Vietnam 2017.
