Chef Guillaume Sanchez to hold three special dinners at Social Club Restaurant from November 22 to 24.

Michelin-starred chef Guillaume Sanchez will hold three special dinners from November 22 to 24 at Hôtel des Arts Saigon’s Social Club Restaurant - the third event in the “Art de Vivre Series” hosted by the hotel and themed “Art Meets Culinary”.

Born in France, Chef Guillaume is one of the biggest stars in the history of the TV show Top Chef. Since making his first appearance on the prime-time cooking competition, the 26-year-old “enfant terrible” has gone on to pioneer gastronomic cuisine at his cult Parisian restaurant, Nomos.

In 2018, Chef Guillaume received a Michelin star for his Parisian restaurant NE/SO after only nine months of operations. When he was just 23 years old he rose to fame as the “tattooed contestant” of culinary TV shows “Who will be the next big Pastry Chef?” (Season 2) and “Top Chef France” (Season 8). Following his hugely successful media coverage and popularity, he decided to open his first restaurant, Nomos, in 2015, and in 2016 received the “Talent of the Year” award from Gault & Millau. In 2018 he was deemed “Chef of the Year” by GQ magazine.

Chef Guillaume consistently shifts the codes of gastronomy by rethinking traditional techniques, flavor combinations, ingredients and creation process. He is famous for his precise and artful dish presentations - a direct reflection of his craftsmanship and extensive experience as a pâtissier (pastry chef). Each of his inspired creations has the visual complexity of the finest French desserts, with contemporary elements, and perfectly balanced savory notes. His unique approach to cooking sees a wide use of fermented ingredients together with his no-meat cooking style, with only seafood and vegetables featured in his dishes. This is part of a new health-conscious diet that Chef Guillaume is passionate about promoting to the world.

For all three dinners to be held at Hôtel des Arts Saigon in November, Chef Guillaume will create complex, comprehensive, and holistic dining experiences from start to finish, to encourage a truly emotive response from all of his privileged guests. Joining the exciting artful culinary journey is Executive Chef Jorick Dorignac and Pastry Chef Laurie Prost from NE/SO Paris; caviar and cheese brands Kaviari and Les Frères Marchand; a guest mixologist; and live performances from a tattoo artist, a hair-tattoo artist, a guest saxophonist, a live jazz band, and a DJ.

The aim of Hôtel des Arts Saigon’s “Art de Vivre Series” is to introduce guests to new luxurious levels of life indulgence through multisensory journeys of haute cuisine - journeys that are facilitated by a variety of iconic lifestyle and industry experts. The event series also aims to offer guests the opportunity to not only observe and look at the arts but also to feel, touch, and taste them.
