The Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) has held a handing-over ceremony for the Chieng So Primary School in Dien Bien Dong district, northern Dien Bien province, to contribute to education and human resources development in Vietnam. TVF supported the repair of the school.

Since its establishment, TVF has been continuously contributing to society with a philosophy of ‘Bringing a better life to the local community’,” said Ms. Do Thu Hoang, Chairwoman of TVF. “We have been conducting social contribution activities in various areas, in particular focusing on education and human resources development (HRD) to contribute to improving HRD quality in Vietnam. We believe this school provides better study conditions that will help students study hard to change their own future and become good citizens.”

“Thanks to the support of TVF and the More Production Vietnam Company, the school is improved and has a library to help with teaching and studies,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Headmaster of Chieng So Primary School, said at the handing-over ceremony. “This is a meaningful and humane program, given how poor the old classrooms were.”

In education and HRD, besides this new school, TVF is also carrying out other activities such as donations to traffic accident victims, medical training under a medical donation program, and vocational scholarships for poor students.
