Continuing on its journey of improving people’s living standards and health, Taiwan Excellence was for the sixth consecutive year the Title Sponsor of the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon 2020, highlighting the theme “More than a race”.

Taiwan Excellence will again host the Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone at the marathon, with the participation of products from 25 leading Taiwanese brands, creating exciting, dynamic, and unforgettable moments for visitors.

The Taiwan Excellence campaign this year, initiated by the Bureau of Foreign Trade(BOFT) and organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), continues six years of intensive cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon as Title Sponsor, embracing the mission of promoting positive community values and bringing an active and healthy lifestyle to all people.

Held on January 4 and 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon 2020 attracted over 9,000 runners, with nearly 1,000 from 62 countries and territories competing in the 42-km marathon and surmounting Phu My Bridge - a challenge only available during this race.

Warming to the new theme of “More than a race”, Taiwan Excellence, accompanied by the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon 2020, encouraged all runners to “unlock the power within you”, carrying the torch of the sporting spirit and together creating and spreading “excellence” in lifestyles to everyone.

“Over the past eleven years of operations in Vietnam, Taiwan Excellence has always put its utmost effort into cultivating, treasuring, and bringing Taiwanese technological innovations to consumers’ everyday lives,” said Mr. Wu Chun-Tse, Executive Director of the Strategic Marketing Department. “Setting our sights on technological breakthroughs for ‘Everyday Excellence’, we encourage people to take advantage of tech innovations for a more convenient and intelligent life.”

Aligning with its desire to nurture community values, by 2020 the tradition of making donations to the Orange Initiative Project through the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Fund (HPDF) has been upheld by Taiwan Excellence for four years, helping to raise awareness about and empathy for the disabled and victims of Agent Orange.

From cutting-edge innovations to “Everyday Excellence”

With Taiwan Excellence, technological innovations are the key to making people healthy and keeping them moving towards a better tomorrow. The best of Made in Taiwan - Asian Silicon Valley and innovation have gathered at the Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone at the Ho Chi Minh City Marathon for many years, adding an attractive feature to the event with unforgettable moments for participants. In the 2020 race, the amazing zone once again returned.

Athletes and visitors had the opportunity to take part in a range of interesting interactive activities with 25 leading brands from Taiwan (China) with a series of new and modern products. Among them are high-end tech brands that have gained in popularity among consumers, such as Transcend, MSI, and others.

The Taiwan Excellence Experiencing Zone 2020 also gathered together other promising brands in a variety of fields that are attracting attention, such as Johnson, Tokuyo sports and healthcare equipment, SYM transportation, and Annies Wayand Firdo beauty care products.
