Beverage manufacturer URC Vietnam was recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Vietnam by HR Asia at the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2019 - Vietnam Chapter” awards ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City recently. This is the second year in a row URC Vietnam has been honored with this prestigious recognition.

The “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” handpicks and recognizes world-class corporations with high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures in Asia.

The HR Asia Awards help encourage Vietnamese businesses to acknowledge the importance of human resources (HR) and to build a better workplace for their people. It is also an opportunity for companies to recognize and celebrate employee engagement and distribution and an honorable reward dedicated to all the employees who have been great supporters and companions during the company’s journey of development.

The application of the Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) was a new highlight in this year’s awards. An upgraded version from last year’s model, TEAM helps companies gain a better understanding of their workforce in terms of Core, Self, and Group values. TEAM surveys are specially-designed tools to measure employee engagement at companies, thus aiding in the determination of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia awards.

The stringent judging process of HR Asia confirmed URC Vietnam as one of the best companies to work for in Vietnam. The company earned high scores for its talent recruitment policies, healthy corporate culture, and career development opportunities extended to employees both within URC Vietnam and across the group.

Having gained a foothold in Vietnam for over 15 years, URC Vietnam has a robust management and organization structure with more than 1,600 employees in various functions manned by competent and well-trained people.

Strong HR systems have built a culture of engagement and created a “one team” spirit. URC Vietnam provides a working environment where employees are enabled to be at their best. They have freedom in their work and can propose ideas to the management team and get the chance to execute these ideas.

URC Vietnam installed a competencies-based HR model based on the URC Group’s global approach. The company provides relevant soft skills training for its senior people and professional training for each individual aligned with the company’s overall strategy and business requirements. These training sessions enable employees to enhance their capabilities and help them reach their greatest potential for taking on senior management positions within URC Vietnam as well as expand their career opportunities within the URC Group’s 12 affiliates.

“I am proud that URC Vietnam has continuously won prestigious HR awards, particularly the highly-reputable HR Asia Awards,” said Mr. Laurent Levan, President and CEO of URC Vietnam. “This recognition once again proves the success of our company’s strong HR strategy. I believe that by nurturing a professional, safe, and people-centric workplace, we can ensure our people work with full passion and enthusiasm, and thus help fulfil URC Vietnam’s business goals.”
