Vietnam Report in cooperation with the VietNamNet newspaper announced Vietnam’s Top 500 largest enterprises 2019 (VNR 500) on January 9 in Hanoi.

The list includes Samsung Electronics Thai Nguyen, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), PetroVietnam, Vingroup, the Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), and the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin).

Mr. Vu Dang Vinh, Director General of Vietnam Report, said at the ceremony that this was the 13th consecutive year Vietnam’s Top 500 largest enterprises have been announced. The list contributes to building and raising the prestige of the enterprises, supporting them to attract resources and approach new opportunities through affirming the trust of partners and investors.

This also helps enterprises improve their competitive capacity and sustainable development in the context of Vietnam’s deep integration into the world.  

The best of the Top 500 were also honored in the Top 50 Vietnam the Best 2019.

Vietnam Report also announced the Top 10 most prestigious enterprises in pharmaceutical-tourism-transport and logistics in 2019 at the ceremony.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Vietnam Report also released the Vietnam Economy White Book 2020, with the theme “The Largest Vietnamese Enterprises and Challenges for Growth 2020”. The white book collects comments from leading economists and enterprises in Vietnam on past performance and the potential and challenges for growth in the business community, and then gives recommendations on supporting the development of Vietnamese enterprises in 2020.
