Greece’s Kronos S.A, in collaboration with the Food Club Company Limited, organized the “Have a peachy day” event at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi to promote Kronos’ canned peaches in Vietnam.

Through the European program called “Have a peachy day”, a campaign financed with aid from the EU and Greece, quality products like canned peaches have the opportunity to be available to a wider international audience.

“Our canned peaches, which are 100 per cent natural and safe, with no preservatives and low in calories, are a great nutritious addition to the everyday life of the Vietnamese,” said Mr. Michalis Lichounas, Export Sales Manager at Kronos S.A.

Kronos’ canned peaches have been in Ho Chi Minh City for three years and are now available at local supermarkets around the country.

In Greece, the cultivation of peaches is one of the largest and most developed agricultural activities, closely connected with local communities and the economy, as Greece is the largest producer in the EU.

Kronos S.A is a private, export-oriented company with 47 years of history. It has conquered the global canned fruit industry with an impressive product portfolio of canned fruit, including peaches, apricots, pears, and fruit cocktails, produced in syrup, juice, water, and puree. The company uses state-of-the-art technologies and modern facilities, with a focus on sustainability in all production lines.

Both the company’s factory and headquarters are located in Central Macedonia in Greece, close to ancient Pella - the home of Alexander the Great. The region is a point of great strategic value, as it is one of the country’s top peach growing areas in both quantity and quality.

Situated close to Thessaloniki, the country’s second-largest city and commercial port, Kronos has direct and easy access to markets around the world. Among the 85 countries the company exports to are EU countries, Russia, the US, the Middle East, Canada, Japan, and Australia, mostly as private label providers for large retailers.
