CBRE Vietnam, together with the Long Hau JSC (LHC - the investor of Long Hau Industrial Park projects), held a Supplier Day to support FDI enterprises, especially SMEs, shorten their search time for domestic suppliers.

Many activities connected suppliers and manufacturers of components and materials. Eighty enterprises registered to participate, with more than 400 enterprises attending more than 300 connecting sessions.

Businesses serving support industries also brought diversity and richness to the program.

There were also talks on “Manufacturing in Vietnam and the Trade War Impact”, held by two representatives from Dezan Shira & Associates Vietnam - Mr. Trent Davies and Mr. Filippo Bortoletti.

They emphasized that domestic suppliers in Vietnam should be prepared to join supply chains, especially given the wave of investment moves from China to Vietnam. The “Breakthrough Path to Smart Factory 4.0” workshop, meanwhile, updated those in attendance on new production orientations.

This is the second year LHC has organized the event, with continued attention and support from domestic and foreign associations such as American Business Association (AmCham), the European Business Association (Euro Cham), the Australian Enterprise Association (Ascham), the Singapore Business Association (SBG), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Ho Chi Minh City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCID).

The door to integrating into the supply chains of foreign enterprises is open and there are promising opportunities to improve localization rates. Vietnamese enterprises will continue to try creating more activities to tighten the relationship between enterprises to bring more value to businesses and investors.
