Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and representatives from Vietnamese enterprises visited Tien Sa Port in central Da Nang city on November 23, within the framework of the Vietnam Logistics Forum 2019 organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with the Vietnam Economic Times Group and the World Bank.

Accompanying the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Chanh Trung, Deputy General Director of the Tan Long Group JSC, presented a new year’s gift of ten tons of “A An” rice to staff at the port.

Located in Da Nang Bay on an area of 12 sq km and with convenient transportation networks, Tien Sa Port has nearly 1,700 meters of wharves capable of berthing cargo vessels of up to 50,000 DWT, container ships of up to 2,500 TEUs, and passenger ships of up to 150,000 GT. The network of wharves and loading and unloading equipment and modern warehousing ensures a capacity of up to 8 million tons of goods per year. Tien Sa is one of the most important seaports in Vietnam’s central region.

Mr. Trung said that not only accompanying the country in economic development and creating thousands of jobs, leaders at Tan Long also wish to work with the government to care for the lives of its workers, especially those at Tien Sa Port - a logistics gateway in the region and an important link in the national economy. He hopes the gift will help employees at Tien Sa Port feel happy during the upcoming new year.

With nearly 20 years in business, the corporation operates in the field of agriculture in Vietnam and in the international market.
