The five-star Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort will mark its grand opening on April 20, after a soft opening on March 15.

The resort has 152 rooms and 61 villas with views of the ocean, lush gardens, lakes, and swimming pools, including the 1,491 sq m main pool that anchors the resort.

With a design that pays tribute to contemporary aesthetics and traditional Vietnamese touches, the resort is blazing new ground in Ho Tram, a two-hour drive northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

The 17-ha resort features a host of world-class facilities, such as three restaurants, a beach club, three swimming pools, a swim-up bar, a coffee shop, a ten-treatment room spa, an executive lounge, a ballroom and conference facilities, a kids’ club, a gymnasium, a gift shop and more.

“Ho Tram is fast developing a reputation as Ho Chi Minh City’s answer to New York’s Hamptons, Rome’s Naples, and Sydney’s Blue Mountains; a go-to retreat where the well-heeled flock for a getaway that’s close by, upscale, and restorative,” said General Manager Manuel Ferriol Argent.

“With 500 meters of ocean frontage, this tropical setting is all the more spectacular as the sun rises to the left and goes down to the right in an incredible arc over the East Sea each day.”

Shaded by 1,800 coconut palms, the resort’s design deploys a neutral palette of colors as a complement to Ho Tram’s sandy shores. Its high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass panels take advantage of the natural surrounds and abundance of sunshine.

The resort is the first property to open in southern Vietnam under the Meliá Hotels and Resorts brand and the fourth in Vietnam.

Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort joins Meliá Hanoi, Meliá Danang, and Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat as part of the Spanish company’s burgeoning portfolio. Plans call for Meliá Cam Ranh Bay and Meliá Saigon Central to open in 2020.
