The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2018 will take place from April 12 to 15 at 23/9 Park in District 1.

With the theme “Discovering 2018 Summer”, the festival will have some 150 booths of travel agencies, hotels, retailers, restaurants, transporters, and airlines at home and abroad introducing products and services, including new tour packages.

There will be about 60,000 domestic and foreign tour vouchers at the event offering discounts of 15-50 per cent. Other promotions include a golden hour of shocking prices, a lucky draw, and a “Buy 1 Tour, Get 1 Tour” program. Over 10,000 gifts will also be presented to visitors.

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will offer 2,400 promotion codes with a 30 per cent discount for individuals on domestic and foreign flights and up to 49 per cent for groups on international flights.

Each day at the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to take advantage of different promotions for the best price and best quality, according to Mr. Tran Ngoc Dong Quan, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Tourism Promotion, which is the Organizing Board.

An artistic show featuring southern folk singing and dancing and sports as well as seminars introducing tourism information and on improving the efficiency of online tourism will be also organized.

A ceremony to honor the city’s Top 100 tourism brands with good quality products and services will be held on the evening of April 14.

A tourist app featuring tourism information searches and guides and introducing the city’s popular destinations will be also launched at the festival by the Organizing Board.

The festival is expected to become a media channel to popularize destinations and stimulate travel demand, bringing more opportunities to local and foreign enterprises to approach and introduce their products and services to consumers. It is expected to welcome around 400,000 visitors.
