AirAsia’s first flight from Bangkok to Nha Trang in south-central Khanh Hoa province landed on May 1, marking its second direct flight to the coastal city, following Kuala Lumpur.

Ms. Laddawan Meesupwatana, Product Manager, Indochina Market, at AirAsia, said this marks an important milestone for AirAsia since becoming the first international airline to fly to Nha Trang from Kuala Lumpur in 2017. “The direct flight between Nha Trang and Bangkok will bring many economic benefits to both countries, in addition to allowing the people of Khanh Hoa to explore Thailand, Southeast Asia, and more than 130 destinations of AirAsia throughout the Asia-Pacific,” she added.

Bangkok is one of the most attractive, dynamic cities in the world, famous for its culture, food and tourist attractions. Thailand is known as the Land of the Golden Pagoda thanks to its unique temple architecture. Delicious Thai dishes can be found easily on the street and at night markets.

AirAsia’s first flight from Chiang Mai in Thailand recently landed in Da Nang International Airport, with 180 passengers on board. Under AirAsia’s plan, Chiang Mai is the next destination connecting Da Nang with Southeast Asia.

Previously, the first flight from Kuala Lumpur landed at Can Tho International Airport in the Mekong Delta. Can Tho is the sixth airport in Vietnam where AirAsia conducts international flights, with this route joining two other international routes to Taiwan and Bangkok.

AirAsia operates 16 direct routes to Vietnam, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc Island, and Can Tho with six destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
