Citi Vietnam has announced a partnership agreement with Vietnam Airlines, the first of its kind in retail services between the two.

The partnership is expected to deliver significant value to affluent travelers, who will benefit from Citi’s extensive retail network and Vietnam Airlines’ world-class aviation services.

“We constantly look for ways to bring new innovative experiences to our clients,” said Ms. Natasha Ansell, Citi Country Officer for Vietnam. “Partnership opportunities with premier service providers are part of that strategic approach and we are privileged to join forces with Vietnam Airlines. We are very excited about the combined benefits that our shared customers will be able to enjoy.”

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, hopes that the partnership with Citi will bring about fruitful results through offering best-in-class services and catering to the evolving needs of their shared affluent customers.

The partnership allows Citi PremierMiles Visa card members to directly redeem their evergreen PremierMiles into Golden Lotus Miles of Vietnam Airlines.

The offer of Lotus Miles for Citi card members who make purchases of Vietnam Airlines’ international flights is expected to be introduced in early 2016.

In September Citi Vietnam introduced the first Visa Signature credit card, called Citi PremierMiles, aimed at the affluent traveler segment in Vietnam. Being the third Visa credit card, Citi PremierMiles Visa Signature is expected to leverage the bank’s unique global footprint and technology to deliver a world of experiences to card members at home or wherever they travel.
