Hanoi is piloting the collection of parking fees and searching for available parking spaces via smartphone from May 1 to August 1, initially on Ly Thuong Kiet and Tran Hung Dao Streets in Hoan Kiem district.

The manager of the iParking project and the Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee conducted a survey and prepared a list of car parking spaces on the two streets.

There are 17 parking areas on the two streets, with a total of 248 spaces. Sixteen of these allow parking from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, while one provides parking 24/7.

Customers of iParking can register a number vehicles in one account and select a parking spot using a QR code or enter a parking code. Available spaces are continually updated and parking fees provided.

Payment can be made by international credit and debit cards. Customers are notified 15 minutes before their parking time ends, and the time can be extended via the app.

Customers can download the app from the iTunes Store or Google Play.

The Hanoi Parking Limited Company (HPC) and the CIS Investment Joint Stock Company (JSC) are deploying the iParking project under Announcement No.184 from the Hanoi People’s Committee.
