VCCI and APEC Secretariat reveal details of events targeted at enterprises during APEC Vietnam 2017 later this year.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam (VCCI) in cooperation with the Vietnam APEC Secretariat held a press conference on January 13 regarding activities relating to enterprises being held during APEC Vietnam 2017 later this year.
Vietnam is to host APEC with the theme “Creating New Motivation, Building a Future”, with the country and other members wishing to create new motivation to integrate, link and grow economies in the Asia-Pacific.
The priorities for APEC Vietnam 2017 will focus on four matters: boosting sustainable development and creative growth; strengthening regional economic integration; improving the competitive ability of micro enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises in the digital era; and enhancing food security and sustainable agriculture and adapting to climate change.
The VCCI will stage the following events and activities relating to enterprises: an APEC startup forum, the Conference of the Business Advisory Board APEC (ABAC 4), a forum on trade promotion and investment to Vietnam, and the APEC CEO Summit 2017.
An APEC startup forum will be held on the sidelines of the APEC Ministerial Conference of Small and Medium Enterprises, in September in Ho Chi Minh City, aimed at bolstering creative startups and business moral.
The ABAC 4 will be held from November 4 to 7 in Da Nang with 250 to 300 regional business leaders. The forum on trade promotion and investment to Vietnam is an opportunity for international investment research into new economic policies in Vietnam and vice-versa.
The APEC CEO Summit 2017 will be held from November 8 to 10 in Da Nang. There will be 1,000 in attendance, including Chairmen and General Directors of multinational corporations and leading companies from APEC economies and around the world.
Activities for enterprises surrounding APEC 2017 provide Vietnam companies with the chance to advertise their brands and goods, seek potential investors, and boost cooperation. Vietnam will provide up-to-date reports on its business environment and potential cooperative opportunities.
The government greatly appreciates the involvement of the business community in dialogue with government agencies and the strengthening of trade cooperation and investment with APEC partners.
