Vietnam’s first and largest rose park will soon open in Hanoi, with 150,000 trees of over 700 species on a total area of 22 ha.

Located in Thach Ban ward in Long Bien district, about 10 km from the center of Hanoi, the rose park will officially open on National Day, September 2, for those who love flowers and especially roses.

Its roses come from different places around Vietnam famed for their roses, like those grown for more than a century in Sapa in the north, red roses from Hue, pink roses from northern Hai Phong city, and white roses from northern Nam Dinh city, among others. The highlight of the park is a maze with 12,000 rose trees from the Mekong Delta’s Ben Tre province.

There are also more than 200 species of roses originating from Bulgaria, which is famous for roses, while others from England and France will be planted soon, according to the Dio Land Company, the park’s investor.

There is a film studio with thatched houses, swings, and colorful pin wheels in the background for shooting photos.

The park also features restaurants, golf courses, a football pitch, and an avenue for organizing events.

The rose park, the first of its kind in Vietnam, is designed to offer an environmentally-friendly ecosystem, homestay services for ecological tourism, and games for children. Visitors can stroll around the rose gardens, get lost in the maze, or take a rest at a homestay.

Agriculture experts are researching numerous technologies for keeping the flowers fresh and vivid for long periods. Dio Land is also speeding up the construction of other facilities, including a resort complex, additional flower gardens, and an amusement park for children.
