"Raffles Night: Breast Cancer - Are Men Also Affected?" seminar to be held in HCMC on October 26.

The Singapore Business Group (SBG) has announced it will organize the “Raffles Night: Breast Cancer - Are Men Also Affected?” seminar at the Pullman Centre Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City on October 26.

In a press release, SBG noted that breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women everywhere. Men generally don’t believe they can be prone to breast cancer but, in fact, it can strike them as well, albeit rarely. Equally significant is how men take on the role of caregiver should a family member be diagnosed with breast cancer and need to undergo treatment. Breast cancer doesn’t spare anyone and triggers both physical and mental anguish.

SBG is holding the conference in order to help its members learn about the risk of breast cancer and what they might be able to do to help mitigate the risk. The public forum will be presented by Dr. Tran Vuong Thao Nghi, Medical and Radiation Oncologist at the Singapore-Vietnam Cancer Center. His talk on breast cancer will shed light on the causes, current treatment options and, most importantly, how to prevent it from happening. He will also clear up some of the myths surrounding the risk of contracting the cancer, equipping participants with better knowledge to protect themselves. Participants will also have the chance to ask related questions, gain a deeper understanding, and clear up any misperceptions.

SBG will be supported by the Singapore-Vietnam Cancer Center as sponsor and the Pullman Saigon Centre as venue sponsor.
