The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee recently presented RMIT University Vietnam with a Certificate of Merit on the 20th anniversary of the Management Authority for Southern Area Development (MASD).

The Certificate acknowledges RMIT Vietnam’s contributions to the operations and development of MASD.

RMIT Vietnam is the Asian center of operations for RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Over the course of its 16 years, RMIT Vietnam has achieved success in a number of areas, including producing highly sought-after graduates, increasing the rate of academic staff with PhDs, adopting digital technologies in its operations, research, and teaching and learning, and investing in modern teaching and learning facilities.

The grounds and facilities at its Saigon South campus have continued to grow. Its Beanland Building is currently being refurbished and transformed into a vibrant and sustainable building that will provide both students and staff with improved experiences, facilities, and technology over the next five years and beyond. The university’s library is expanding to ensure RMIT Vietnam’s continued leadership in digital excellence and transformative learning experiences in higher education.

RMIT Vietnam offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of business, technology, and design and communications. With 1,528 graduates in 2016, it has now produced more than 11,000 graduates since commencing degree programs in 2001. These graduates - confident, skilled, and qualified - are making a valuable contribution to the domestic and international workforce.

RMIT Vietnam has won many awards, including the National Energy Efficiency Building Awards in 2010 and 2016 and the prestigious Golden Dragon Award from VET 14 times since 2003.

It regularly launches new programs to meet demand from Vietnamese students. The three latest programs - Bachelor of Digital Marketing, Bachelor of Design Studies, and Bachelor of Languages - were launched at its campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on August 31.
