Panasonic Vietnam held a ceremony to receive an Education Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training in celebration of the eighth anniversary of the Panasonic Risupia Vietnam science center and the 45th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations, at Risupia Vietnam on September 6.

Eight years since its grand opening, Risupia Vietnam’s contributions to creating a scientific playground for Vietnamese children was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training. Minister Phung Xuan Nha issued a Decision awarding an “Education Certificate of Merit” to Ms. Yoshiko Hamazaki, Panasonic Corporate Representative, Japan, and a “Ministerial Certificate” to Risupia Vietnam.

“With the establishment of Risupia Vietnam, Panasonic expressed its strong commitment to developing high-quality education in Vietnam,” said Ms. Hamazaki. “We expect Risupia will also play an important role as a cultural and education bridge between Vietnam and Japan. Therefore, together with experiencing science and technology at Risupia, children and their families can also ‘touch’ cultural aspects such as Japanese food, music, art and lifestyles.”

Established in 2010 in response to a suggestion from former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Risupia Vietnam is part of a commitment to support Vietnam’ younger generation. The center is unique for utilizing and combining Panasonic’s advanced technologies, solutions and products with fundamental math and physic principles to convey the wonderful world of science in fun exhibitions. It has welcomed 600,000 visitors, including nearly 400,000 students, with more than 10,000 visitors attending each month.

Risupia Vietnam has constantly innovated to bring advanced science and technology experiences through the showroom, where visitors can access Panasonic’s cutting-edge technologies and suggestions for a modern and safe living space. Over the years, Risupia has also introduced many new exhibitions. Its 3D Theater - the most popular area - has been renovated for the eighth anniversary, with Panasonic’s latest Laser 3D projector technology with 4K class quality offering a “virtual” space for children.

With its unchanged business philosophy of contributing to society over the last 100 years, Panasonic has strived to create “A better life, A better world” for every Vietnamese person.
