The Vietnam - Republic of Korea (RoK) culture and food festival will take place from November 30 to December 2 at the Starlake urban area complex in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district.

This year is the 10th holding of the annual event by the Embassy of the RoK in Vietnam, the Hanoi People’s Committee, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to strengthen friendly relations between two countries and introduce the cuisine of both to local people and visitors.

There will be 100 stalls with traditional cuisine and street food and a contest will be held seeking talented cooks.

Cooking classes on both Vietnamese and Korean food will be available, as well as performances of K-Pop and Viet music and dance from famous Vietnamese and Korean artists.

There will also be a program supporting the Vietnamese men’s football team, which is playing in the AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Championship under South Korean coach Park Hang-seo.

Vietnam and the RoK established diplomatic ties on December 22, 1992. They set up a comprehensive strategic partnership in August 2001 and agreed to lift ties to a strategic cooperative partnership in October 2009.
