The Vietnam Travel and Tourism Summit 2018 was held within the framework of the Vietnam Economic Forum (ViEF), a national meeting held to identify solutions and strategies to restructure the tourism industry and enhance its quality and sustainability in 2018-2030. In attendance were government officials and more than 300 global and local tourism experts and speakers.

Its goals are to increase the contribution of tourism to the country’s GDP from 7.5 per cent last year to 12 per cent by 2022, create 3 million direct jobs and 2.5 million indirect jobs, attract global and domestic capital, and improve the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

Along with the national tourism development strategy and as part of Phase 2 of Novaland’s development strategy, the group has begun to expand into the development of hospitality real estate products in major cities and provinces with enormous potential in tourism. Its target is to work with local and international consultants and professional operators to create ideal destinations for both domestic and international tourists and turn these destinations into centers of tourism - leisure - entertainment, contributing to putting Vietnam on the global tourism map.

“The Minor Hotel Group is already well established in Vietnam through our portfolio of Anantara and Avani hotels, and we are pleased to be working with the Novaland Group to develop additional projects in the country as part of our strategic expansion in Southeast Asia,” said Mr. Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of the Minor Hotels Group.

“Vietnam is one of the region’s most dynamic economies with tremendous potential for growth in both domestic and international tourism, thanks to a winning combination of cultural attractions and natural beauty. We look forward to expanding our footprint in Vietnam with the Novaland Group and creating an exceptional product for guests.”

Greg Norman Golf Course Design, meanwhile, will develop four world-class golf courses located in NovaWorld Integrated Resorts. The first Novaland golf course designed by the legendary golfer will be launched in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan province, in the first quarter of next year.
