Vietnamese developer the Novaland Group was honored in the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2019 as a winner in the Corporate Excellence category at the awards ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on October 10.

First held in 2017, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs and organizations for their entrepreneurial excellence across Asia. The prestigious awards aim to connect successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and organizations across the region to strengthen regional ties and growth in entrepreneurship, encouraging fair practices and greater innovation along the way.

Over its 27 years, Novaland has become the leading real estate developer in Vietnam, with over 40 residential projects in key locations in Ho Chi Minh City and a diverse range of more than 27,000 products, serving more than 250,000 customers, as well as further expansion into other cities and provinces.

The group has now secured a large land bank of some 4,270 ha to develop housing projects in Ho Chi Minh City and satellite towns and hospitality real estate projects. These are important factors that will ensure stable growth in the long term.

In addition to effective business operations and taking good care of employees’ lives, Novaland has been implementing numerous activities associated with community responsibilities, for example building schools and bridges in remote areas such as Dong Thap and Long An provinces, contributing to the National University Development Fund, building houses of gratitude (for war invalids and the families of martyrs) and cultural houses, cleaning up waste on project sites to protect the environment, and offering help to poor households during Tet (the Lunar New Year).

Novaland’s Teacher Nhe Scholarships, offered for the last 13 years, have provided support for excellent students to overcome their difficult circumstances. The group has also joined hands with Operation Smile to raise funds to sponsor surgeries and other assistance to children with harelips and cleft palates and sponsored heart and eye surgeries for children in Mekong Delta provinces.

The “Clean Water for School” program, sponsored by both Novaland and The Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients, has installed filtering systems at schools in the Mekong Delta to provide clean drinking water that meets the standards of the Pasteur Institute, helping protect the health of students and teachers.
