A total of 54 businesses and projects were honored at the Vietnam Property Awards 2018 in Hanoi on April 14 in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s real estate market.

The awards were organized by the Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) and the Management Agency for Housing and Real Estate Market at the Ministry of Construction.

In attendance was Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and representatives of ministries, branches and central agencies and of real estate companies.

On behalf of the government and the Prime Minister, Mr. Dung asked the Ministry of Construction and related ministries and branches to review and perfect the policies and legal framework for housing, land and planning, as well as tax and financial policies and real estate business activities to confirm transparency and simplify administrative procedures to better the business environment.

Mr. Nguyen Tran Nam, Chairman of VNREA, said that hundreds of businesses registered for an award during the four-month registration period. The awards were divided into eight categories: prestigious real estate developer (eleven awards), best urban area (six), best resort development (five), best office building for rent and shopping mall (three), best residential area (ten), best green building (six), best real estate transaction floor (seven), and best social housing project (six).

The Vingroup, the Sun Group, and the FLC Group won the prestigious real estate developer awards, while the best urban projects were Ecopark, Phu My Hung (Ho Chi Minh City), Phu Long - Dragon City (Ho Chi Minh City), Ciputra - Udic (Hanoi), Lakeview City (Ho Chi Minh City), and Vinhomes Riverside (Hanoi).

The best resort development awards went to FLC Quy Nhon Beach & Golf Resort (Binh Dinh province), Premier Village Da Nang Resort, Novotel Phu Quoc Resort - Novotel Villas, Silk Path Sa Pa Resort & Spa (Lao Cai province), and Flamingo Dai Lai Resort (Vinh Phuc province).

The Eurowindow Office Building and Vincom Centre in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City’s Cantavil Premier won the best office building for rent and shopping mall awards.

Mr. Dung also told the ceremony that after a period of decline, the real estate market has recovered and developed strongly with high liquidity and a reasonable structure, helping modernize urban areas. “The rising number of areas with social housing projects has created homes for nearly 500,000 low-income earners and workers at industrial parks,” he said. “The awards encourage domestic businesses to increase their corporate social responsibility and competitiveness and develop trademarks that meet international standards.”
