International real estate developer Alpha King recently received “Best Breakthrough Developer” and “Special Recognition in CSR” awards at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2019 for to its contributions to Vietnam’s development.

Alpha King has proven its capabilities and dedication as an experienced real estate developer, with luxury projects in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 including the symbolic twin tower Alpha Hill, the trendy Alpha Mall, the Alpha Town Grade A office block, and the ultra-luxury residential project Centennial, which have contributed to transforming the city’s skyline and helped the company win seven awards out of 12 nominations this year.

Alpha Hill, a symbolic 48-level twin tower building in the heart of District 1, set a record at the Vietnam Property Awards 2019 by winning in three important categories: “Best Ultra Luxury Condo Interior Design”, “Best Ultra Luxury Condo Development”, and most notably, “Best Condo Development” in Vietnam.

The ultra-luxury condo development Alpha Hill promotes the traditional Saigonese culture with a unique block house style while bringing modern architecture of international standard at the same time. Together with a transformative interior design, Alpha Hill provides a smart living environment combining four functions in one - living room, bedroom, dining room, and workspace - in the first “Transformer apartment” in the country.

Alpha Mall received the “Best Retail Development” award and boasts design inspiration from Saigon street arts. Meanwhile, inspired by the “ao dai”, Vietnam’s national dress, Alpha Town was highly recommended as “Best Office Development”, with modern facilities and the application of advanced global technology such as facial recognition and automatic guest registration.

“This year more than any other year is a challenging time to be thinking of building a mall, because we’re entering into the digital age, where people’s use of shopping malls is quite different to what it used to be,” said Mr. Richard Leech, Senior General Manager of Commercial, Commercial, Asset & Property Service Management at Alpha King.

“Hence, we have to think ahead, we have to plan two years in advance for shopping malls. What we are going to bring is going to be different, which no other shopping mall has had before. It’s all about focusing on customers - millennium customers, Gen Z customers, customers who are very different from previous customers, and customers who are not going to the mall for shopping.”

“We have to be aware of the change in consumer needs and adapt our malls accordingly if they are to survive. A mall is quite different from other real estate, as we have B2B business, so we have to take care of tenants and create an environment so they can take care of their customers.

“We pride ourselves in redefining living in Vietnam and laying the foundation for a world-class city,” Mr. Simon Wong, CEO of Alpha King, said at the Awards ceremony. “Our mission is to constantly challenge ourselves to push boundaries and create unique developments with positive and lasting impacts on communities and future generations.”
