Vietnam Airlines (VNA) and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) have signed a cooperation agreement that marks the deepening cooperation between the two sides.

The agreement showed the strong response of the two to the campaigns of the Party Committee of the Centrally-Run Businesses’ Sector, including “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, and the policy “Enterprises and banks in the Central Business Division use products and services of each other”.

Accordingly, VNA and Agribank will create favorable conditions to promote and sell each other’s products and services.

VNA will provide airfreight services with special incentives for Agribank staff and Agribank will provide a variety of financial services to VNA, such as time deposits, collections, and credit.

VNA and Agribank will also intensively cooperate to implement the customer care programs of the two sides. They will also exchange experience and information to bring about effective cooperation.

VNA has implemented many cooperation agreements with major enterprises such as FPT, Vietnam Post, and PetroVietnam.

The cooperation between VNA and Agribank affirms the determination of the two towards successfully implementing the resolution of the Party and the policy of the government to promote the leading role of large corporations in economic and social development.

Agribank is one of the four biggest banks in Vietnam. While the three others have been equitized and have listed on the stock market, Agribank remains 100 per cent owned by the State. It is a major lender to agriculture projects, primarily in rural areas.

Vietnam Airlines, a member of the SkyTeam Alliance, operates 90 routes to 20 domestic and 29 international destinations with an average of 400 flights a day.
