German experts from TRUMPF Vietnam advised on and introduced technology and smart connection models to visitors at the 17th international exhibition on machine tools, precision engineering and metalworking (MTA 2019) from July 2 to 5. The company was also honored to welcome reputable experts and lecturers from major universities.

MTA 2019 is the leading international trade event for machine tools, precision engineering, and metalworking and this year attracted more than 500 companies from 22 countries and territories around the world.

TRUMPF Vietnam focused on introducing automation processes with a multi-machine connection and software systems. Its TruConnect is a range of solutions designed to take advantage of maximizing production during Industry 4.0 and is integrated between hardware, software, and services. TRUMPF’s booth (AB4-01) featured methods to help manufacturers make the first step towards a “Smart Factory”.

TRUMPF’s showcase at the exhibition portrays how manufacturers can take the first step towards a Smart Factory. Individual customer orders are generated and imported into TRUMPF’s software solution TruTops Fab QuickJob. All existing orders are automatically collected, nested together with standard parts, and transferred to the production plan. After that, the jobs pass through three process stages: cutting, bending, and marking.

The machines included in these processes are the TruLaser 1030, a reliable and economical 2D laser cutting machine, the TruBend 7036 for high-speed and high-quality bending, as well as the compact TruMark Station 1000 for fast and flexible laser marking.

During the live demonstrations, visitors experienced the seamless communications between the machines and TRUMPF’s software. The integrated monitoring functions of TruTops Fab Quickjob allow manufactures to track the status of machines and orders as well as identify optimization potential.

MTA 2019 was an opportunity for TRUMPF to continue to introduce the idea of “Smart Factory” in Vietnam. “TRUMPF is a market and technology leader in machine tools and lasers for industrial manufacturing,” a TRUMPF Vietnam representative said. “Our technology is applied in many fields, such as transport vehicles (cars, motorcycles), construction technology, mobile devices, and modern energy. We can provide optimal and diverse production solutions for the domestic manufacturing industry.”
