Over 1,500 candidates attended Tech Expo 2019, the largest jobs fair for technology personnel in Vietnam, which was organized by VietnamWorks, Vietnam’s largest online recruitment website and under the Navigos Group, in Ho Chi Minh City recently. VietnamWorks also released a full update of the “Information Technology Labor Market Report 2019”.

Largest fair for tech job seekers

Among those attending, 79 per cent were candidates with experience of two years or more, together with a number of new graduates and candidates with management level experience. Five specialized seminars with leading experts from Tiki, Ahamove, PYCO Group, and Cinnamon AI also attracted a large number of IT personnel, with each seminar attended by more than 300 candidates with more than two years of experience.

This year’s fair also saw the participation of 40 employers - a record to date - with more than 300 vacancies. In addition to activities such as interactive games using virtual reality technology and programming challenges, the sharing of corporate culture was also a focus of businesses at this year’s fair.

Tech Expo 2019 attracted the attention of many highly-experienced candidates. At Navigos Search’s booth, mid- and high-level personnel recruiting services reached many candidates with over five years of experience, some of which had a monthly salary of $2,000-$3,000, seeking new opportunities or positions at the management level. Nearly 60 per cent of candidates were suitable for the vacancies Navigos Search is seeking to fill.

Dreamplus, the leading open innovation platform from Hanwha, also partnered with VietnamWorks to introduce the “Blockchain Academy” program. The program includes online courses provided free of charge to attendees designed to provide knowledge about blockchain from basic to advanced.
