With meaningful community activities, the Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company continued to affirm the sustainable development philosophy it has always pursued.
2016 was considered an impressive year of development for the Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), with extraordinary business performance and soaring growth. In addition to its brand promotion activities, a highlight for PNJ was its bold efforts in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). In addition to maintaining its position as a pioneer in the jewelry industry, PNJ constantly strengthened its community activities.
Program “Thank you for not littering” launched by the PNJ
Throughout its 28 years of development and with its future development orientation, PNJ has been and is always associated with sustainable development. This is also a commitment from PNJ towards society and a target in each of its activities. PNJ chose 2016 as a special year of action for the environment, through the launch of its “Thank you for not littering” program, which it implemented on a national scale. Launched at the beginning of 2016, the program was very pervasive, drawing attention and interest from the community and receiving support from other companies, organizations and unions. The meaningful message and practical and urgent environment activities of PNJ over recent times had a profound impact on community awareness about working together to protect and improve the environment.

The PNJ Charity Fund made considerable contributions to society last year. From the early days of its establishment in 2005, the Fund has conducted a range of programs, such as awarding thousands of scholarships to poor students, funding craft villages, arranging blood donations, contributing to funds for the poor, improving seas and islands, providing free health examinations and treatment, giving Tet gifts to tens of thousands of poor people, building hundreds of houses for the poor, and providing disaster relief, among others, to the tune of more than VND35 billion ($1.55 million). The “Pink Bricks” and building PNJ Houses brought joy to poor people and women in difficult circumstances around the country. The company contributed VND6 billion ($265,000) for the construction of 77 PNJ Houses in 2016.
From the many achievements and meaningful community activities in 2016, it believes that in 2017 it will make further strides forward in the sustainable values it always pursues. PNJ will again confirm its leading position in Vietnam’s jewelry industry and is reaching international levels, making it a sustainable enterprise with a philosophy of “Integrating customer benefits and social benefits into the enterprise’s benefits”.
