Phu Nhuan Jewelry ends successful 2016 with pre-tax profit increasing 204 per cent against 2015.
The Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) recorded total revenue of VND8.72 trillion ($385 million) in 2016, a 12 per cent increase compared to 2015. Jewelry retail sales rose 29 per cent and contributed to boosting the company’s gross profit to around VND1.373 trillion ($60.6 million), 21 per cent higher than in 2015. Pre-tax profit was estimated at VND608 billion ($26.8 million), up 204 per cent and surpassing the annual plan by 32 per cent.
It also expanded its retail network, opening 31 new stores and raising its total to 220 in 40 cities and provinces throughout the country, consolidating its leading position in Vietnam’s jewelry industry.

PNJ also attached great importance to its training program. Its staff and employees have become more professional, especially those who work as consultants or in sales at its stores, boosting customer satisfaction.
It also won many reputable awards during 2016, reinforcing its leading position and creating momentum for controlling the Asian market. The highlight was PNJ being recognized as a National Brand for the fourth consecutive year while appearing in the Top 10 on the list of the 100 Vietnamese Sustainable Development Enterprises in 2016, the Top 100 Vietnamese Best Places To Work, the Top 100 Vietnam Strong Brands, the Top 50 Vietnamese Listed Companies, and the Top 50 Vietnamese Most Valuable Brands. Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, PNJ Chairwoman and General Director, was selected by Forbes Asia on the list of Asia’s 50 Powerful Businesswomen in 2016.
