Central Group Vietnam officially introduced the first modern GO! Market in Vietnam at a ceremony on June 28.

Located on Hanoi’s Nguyen Xien Street, the first GO! Market supermarket is a professional retail model that meets all needs, from basic to advanced, with reasonable prices, from food, necessities, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to fashion accessories, electrical appliances, and entertainment options.

On a total area of 5,800 sq m and arranged in an interesting and unique way combining “Eating - Shopping - Entertainment”, GO! Market is a convenient spot where customers can experience culinary services, shopping, and entertainment under the one roof.

It includes a Food City area (with international dishes), a supermarket selling fresh food, household goods, FMCG, and necessities; LookKool (selling home accessories and décor and household appliances); HomeMart (household items); Nguyen Kim (electronics); Hello Beauty (healthcare and beauty), and a modern amusement area for kids called KUBO.

In a bid to accompany Vietnamese enterprises and encourage “Vietnamese goods conquering Vietnamese people”, Central Group Vietnam also has display areas promoting Vietnamese goods at GO! Market, which is similar to other supermarkets of the Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Thang Hai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, emphasized that along with the strong development of Vietnam’s retail market, its network of food establishments is also expanding every year in quantity and quality. “Central Group has contributed to the building and operations of 37 trade centers associated with retail supermarkets nationwide, in which Vietnamese goods account for 96 per cent of all goods at the Group’s supermarkets,” he added. “Central Group put GO! Market into operation to contribute to consumption of agricultural products and to support Vietnamese farmers.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Deputy General Director of Central Group Vietnam, said that GO! Market coming into operation is an important milestone in the process of developing the Group’s retail business in Vietnam and realizing its vision of contributing to Vietnam’s prosperity and improving the quality of life of Vietnamese people. “We hope all new brands and models at GO! Market will help us fulfil this mission,” she noted. “With a youthful and dynamic image, GO! Market will help Hanoi’s retail market in particular and Vietnam’s in general become more exciting.”

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed at the ceremony between Central Group Vietnam and the Department of Domestic Market at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), and another MoU between Central Group Vietnam and the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD). The parties agreed to cooperate, share information, experience, knowledge, and technology, and to jointly implement a program on purchasing safe agricultural products directly from farm households.
