Apax Holdings, a member of Egroup, has officially opened its first three Apax Franklin Academy centers in Vietnam, two in Hanoi on December 23 and another in Ho Chi Minh City on December 28, four months after signing a strategic cooperation agreement with the US’s Franklin Learning Centers.

This is the third Apax Holdings’ education system in Vietnam, joining its English training center chain Apax English and the bilingual kindergarten system STEAMe GARTEN.

In the context of a booming fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), education is no longer confined to old frameworks. The use of technology in teaching and the emergence of modern technologies such as Big Data, IoT, and AI has opened up opportunities to access advanced learning methods and knowledge from the world’s leading education foundations here in Vietnam.

It’s estimated that for every student going overseas to study, another 20 will never see such a dream fulfilled. The primary concern for parents is financial. The opening of the Apax Franklin Academy, with its technology-based education program, will help students in Vietnam receive a quality education program in their home country.

“Apax Franklin will bring high school students in Vietnam the most effective learning paths built on three criteria: an American program, American teachers, and the US degrees, saving up to 70 per cent compared to studying abroad,” said Ms. Vu My Lan, CEO of Egroup and Apax Franklin. “When studying at Apax Franklin Academy, they will not only receive a world-recognized American high school diploma but also get the best skills and knowledge to study abroad.”

The opening of Apax Franklin Academy follows the debut of Apax Holdings’ shares on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) on December 15. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, Chairman of Apax Holdings, told the listing ceremony that it will pursue Industry 4.0, which is based on digital technology and integrating all smart technologies to optimize production processes and methods, highlighting technologies that are having and will have the greatest impacts.

Apax English training now has 55 centers, double the number at the end of 2016. It is expected to reach 100 locations by 2018, while STEAMe GARTEN will have 15 campuses and Apax Franklin Academy will have five centers.

Franklin is one of the US’ leading education solution providers and has pioneered the application of technology in education. Its programs have appeared in more than 100 countries worldwide and educated 4 million students.
