The Bach Dang Construction JSC (BDCC) recorded total production value of nearly $317 million in 2017, surpassing its target by 8 per cent, while total revenue was 12 per cent higher than the plan, reaching $246 million. Most other annual indicators also exceeded targets, representing a very successful year for the corporation.

With the right strategy and the effort of each staff member, BDCC has continually seen annual growth 10-15 per cent in recent years.

Mr. Luu Quang Bon, Deputy General Director of BDCC, said the corporation’s success last year is particularly encouraging. It has been marketing and successfully bidding for many projects in cities and provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Ninh Thuan, and Quang Tri. The value of bidding works in 2017 reached over $235 million, with the parent company accounting for over $198 million.

In the context of an increasingly competitive construction industry, BDCC not only stands firm but has also affirmed its position as a strong brand.

It is one of the major enterprises under the Ministry of Construction and is headquartered in northern Hai Phong city. One of the most appropriate directions is to focus on key projects, shaking hands with large partners to build credibility and create a competitive advantage.

On the long list of projects BDCC has been involved in are many key national projects, such as the Vung Ang Thermal Power Plant, the Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant, and the Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant. It also has projects upgrading water supply plants in the cities and provinces of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, and Binh Duong, a complex of high-class apartments and office space for rent in North Co Nhue, Tu Liem district, Hanoi, technical infrastructure projects in Hai Phong, and many other foreign investment projects. All required sufficient amounts of capital investment, high quality, and timely construction progress.

It’s no coincidence that BDCC has been chosen by partners and customers to carry out such large-scale projects. According to Mr. Bon, the company always proves its superior ability, with a staff team of more than 7,000 people, including experts, experienced engineers, and highly-skilled workers experienced in construction projects in Vietnam and overseas.

Equipment and technical means of construction must also be diversified in terms of types and modern features. Advanced construction technology will meet the requirements of the industry and the installation of large-scale projects with highly-technical requirements. All contribute to a high level of productivity and workplace quality, with many projects built far ahead of schedule with quality assured.

“It is important for us that these major sites make a significant contribution to affirming our brand in the construction field,” Mr. Bon said. “We have been selected by many investors and contractors as strategic and qualified contractors that meet construction requirements.”

He added that results have not matched the potential of the corporation and have not kept up with the development of the market economy and other enterprises in the industry. Therefore, given the fierce competition in the market, BDCC has proposed many breakthrough measures to establish a solid foundation for sustainable development. In particular, the most basic strategy has to be maintained: “Prestige as a driving force, taking the brand as a foundation”.
