The Vinpearl World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) Vietnam 2018, part of the World Amateur Golfers Championship 2018, is scheduled to take place on July 28 and 29 at Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An in central Quang Nam province.

Golfers will be divided into five groups based on their handicap. The best in each group will play for the Vietnam team at the World Finals held in Malaysia in October alongside 40 teams from around the world.

The winners of the Vinpearl WAGC Vietnam 2018 will also play for two hole-in-one prizes of a Maserati Levante and a Maserati Ghibli, valued at nearly VND12 billion ($521,700).

The World Amateur Golfers Championship is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur golf tournaments. Vietnam played in the championship in 2011 and won in 2017.

Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An is located in the heart of Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Resort & Spa, a beachfront paradise that includes a five-star beachside hotel, tropical villas, a water park, a theme park, and an agricultural center.

The course is set among rolling sand dunes with elevation changes from four meters to eleven meters. There are many natural trees on site, with Casaurina pine trees closer to the ocean and deciduous trees further inland to provide a nice contrast across the course.

Designed in the golf links style, along with natural white sand bunkers, the large fairways have plenty of width so golfers of all skill levels can enjoy a round of golf, while its gently rolling greens are not overly challenging.
