Convenient service initially available on domestic flights out of Hanoi and Da Nang.

With the aim of constantly improving the quality and convenience of airfreight services, Vietnam Airlines has officially launched an in-town check-in service.

The services is provided by Vietnam Airport Ground Services (VIAGS - a member of Vietnam Airlines) and the launch makes the national flag carrier the first and only airline in the country to offer safe and convenient in-town check-in services that stay abreast of global trends.

The in-town check-in service will assist passengers in carrying out flight procedures, selecting seating, checking cargo, and obtaining a boarding pass in the center of major cities like Hanoi (from October 12) and Da Nang (from the beginning of November).

The service applies to Vietnam Airlines’ domestic flights departing from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi or Da Nang International Airport and are available every day. including holidays. Passengers can use in-town check-in for flights up to two hours before departure.

The in-town check-in service is an ideal way to help travelers avoid the inconvenience of traveling with cargo from the city to the airport, saving time compared to checking in at the airport counter.

In-town check-in has been applied in many countries around the world, such as Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Malaysia.

Mr. Le Hong Ha, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said that in-town check-in is one of its ground services that meet international four-star standards, providing customers with convenient, safe and fast service. “As the first and exclusive unit in Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines expects its in-town check-in service to be a new boom for Vietnam’s aviation industry and an important step forward in the airline industry and in the journey to continuously improve the quality of our products and services, aiming to become a five-star carrier in the future,” he added.

Vietnam Airlines is the most versatile carrier of airfreight services for passengers, with check-in in six different forms, including check in at the airport counter, at kiosks, on www.vietnamairlines.com website, on mobile phones, on phone apps, and now in-town check-in.
