Vietjet Air was again named “Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline for 2020” by AirlineRatings, the world’s best one-stop airline safety and product rating review website.

This is the third consecutive year Vietjet has been honored at AirlineRatings’ Airline Excellence Awards, which recognize the world’s best airlines annually.

According to AirlineRatings, Vietjet has quickly grown its fleet and number of destinations, opening up travel to all, including those that perhaps could not afford air travel before, with wonderful cabin crews and ultra-low prices. The airline has created revolutionary trends in the aviation industry.

Mr. Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of Airlineratings.com, said Vietjet has been very clever in its marketing but behind that is also a very smart and serious business plan that brings affordable travel to millions. “It’s a great operation and one that is turning heads,” he said.

Vietjet is a fully-fledged member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and has IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification. As Vietnam’s largest private carrier, it was awarded the highest ranking for safety, with seven stars in 2018 and 2019, by the world’s only safety and product rating website, AirlineRatings.com, and listed as one of the world’s 50 best airlines for healthy financing and operations by Airfinance Journal in 2018 and 2019. The airline has also been named “Best Low-Cost Carrier” by renowned organizations such as Skytrax, CAPA, Airline Ratings, and many others.

Vietjet operates around over 400 flights daily and has carried nearly 100 million passengers to date across an expansive network that includes destinations throughout Vietnam and international destinations in India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, and China.

AirlineRatings.com’s Airline Excellence Awards are judged by seven editors with over 200 years of industry experience between them. They combine important safety and government audits, with 12 key criteria including fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability, investment rating, product offerings, and staff relations. The world’s best airlines include Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Australia, and Emirates, in a variety of categories.
