Vietjet Thailand held the Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 Take-Off event to unveil its new aircraft livery on November 1. The event was attended by the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports and the Vietnamese Ambassador in Thailand on the first day of The Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 campaign.

“As part of the Vietjet Group, Vietjet Thailand will connect tourism between Thailand and Vietnam,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, CEO of Vietjet Thailand. We are always willing to contribute to the growth of Thailand’s tourism sector and economy as a whole by conducting various activities promoting the destinations, culture and tourism of the country.”

The second aircraft bearing The Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 logo will accompany the campaign on all journeys. Together with the campaign of Thailand Tourism, we will further extend our flight network not only domestically in Thailand but also to international destinations in Vietnam and the region, bringing more opportunities for local and inbound travelers to enjoy the amazing journeys here,” Ms. Binh added.

The event is one of the main activities within the cooperative framework between Vietjet Thailand and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to promote Thailand tourism in 2018, with the slogan “Unique Thai Local Experience”. The campaign aims to promote tourism and create added value among domestic and international tourists to enjoy their trips as well as to help them better discover unforgettable experiences in Thailand.

“We believe that our collaboration will deliver a positive contribution to the growth of tourism and the economies of Thailand and Vietnam with a new-age spirit,” said Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports. “With the Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 campaign, we will further establish better connectivity between the two countries and peoples.”

To deliver on its commitment to further promoting Thailand, the Vietjet Group recently introduced two new international routes connecting Phuket and Chiang Mai with Ho Chi Minh City. The new routes, which will all be in operation from December, are expected to meet the increasing travel demand between the two countries.

Vietjet is the first airline in Vietnam to operate as a new-age airline with low-cost and diversified services to meet customers’ demands. It provides not only transport services but also uses the latest e-commerce technologies to offer various products and services for consumers.

The airline now boasts a fleet of 45 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, and operates 350 flights each day. It has already opened 73 routes in Vietnam and across the region to international destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

Vietjet Thailand has a fleet of three A320 aircraft operating domestic flights from Bangkok to Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai, and between Phuket and Chiang Rai. The carrier has plans to extend its network to international destinations in Vietnam as well as in North Asia and ASEAN countries in the future.
