Hanoi - Taipei flights to begin on October 30 and HCMC - Kaohsiung on December 12.
Private carrier Vietjet Air announced new Taiwan routes on October 19 from Hanoi - Taipei and Ho Chi Minh City - Kaohsiung to meet increasing travel demand and boost regional integration and trade.
“With a mission of making air travel accessible to everyone and a more popular means of transport for people and tourists, Vietjet has been bringing convenient and creative services to all passengers on its key regional routes, including to many destinations in Taiwan,” Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, Vietjet’s Vice President, said.
The two new routes will help better connect the cultural, economic and financial hubs, pushing trade, tourism and integration and making Vietjet the favorite airline for all passengers in the world.
The Hanoi - Taipei route will operate on a daily basis from October 30, with a flying time of two hours and 45 minutes. Flights take off from Hanoi at 2.05pm and land in Taipei at 6pm (local times), with the return leg departing at 7.10pm and arriving in Hanoi at 9.20pm (local times).
The Ho Chi Minh City - Kaohsiung route will begin on December 12 with five return flights a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Lasting three hours and 30 minutes, flights leave Ho Chi Minh City at 2.10am and land in Kaohsiung at 6.30am (local times), while the return leg takes off at 8.15am and lands in Ho Chi Minh City at 10.45am.
The previously announced Hanoi - Busan route will be operated every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from December 16. Flying time is around four hours and 30 minutes. Flights take off from Hanoi at 1am and land in Busan at 7am (local times), returning from Busan at 8am and arriving in Hanoi at 11.05am (local times).
Tickets are now available at www.vietjetair.com and at all of Vietjet’s other sales channels.
To celebrate the new routes, Vietjet also announced the sale of 150,000 promotional air tickets priced at $0 under its “12pm, It’s time to Vietjet” program, on October 25, 26 and 27 on its website.
The promotion applies to all routes from Vietnam to Kaohsiung, Taipei, Tainan, Busan, Seoul and Hong Kong. The travel period is from October 30 to March 25, 2017 (excluding public holidays). For the new Ho Chi Minh City - Hong Kong route the travel period is from December 9, from December 12 for Ho Chi Minh City - Kaohsiung, from December 11 for Hai Phong - Seoul, and from December 16 for Hanoi - Busan.
