The Top Ten Best Courses 2019 were announced at the annual “Vietnam’s Best Golf Course Awards” held recently by Vietnam Golf magazine in coordination with the Vietnam Golf Association, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), and the Vietnam Administration of Sports.

With the aim of promoting Vietnam as an attractive destination for tourism and golf, encouraging healthy competition between golf courses, and contributing to creating increasingly high-quality golf products, over the past ten years the Awards’ judging panel has recognized the major efforts by investors to upgrade their golf courses, improve service quality, and focus on design, coaching and training, promotions, and world-class services for new golf courses from the beginning of operations.

After gathering together online votes, visits were made to golf courses with the highest number of votes and other prestigious courses around Vietnam in order to make an accurate evaluation and rating. The results were reported to the judging panel chaired by the Vietnam Golf Association, VNAT, the Vietnam Administration of Sports, and international golf experts. This year’s judging panel included Ms. Kwee Fah and Mr. Alan Yew, USGA Accredited Golf Course Raters and R&A Level-3 referees, and Mr. Mark Siegel, Managing Director of GolfAsian - the most famous travel company in Asia and with a deep understanding of golf courses in Vietnam.

The Awards were open to golf courses of 18 holes or more operated and launched before December 2018. According to the latest count, the number of online votes on www.vietnamgolfmagazine.net reached a record 380,000; four times higher than in 2017.

The ten golf courses on this year’s list are Laguna Lang Co Golf Club, The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, KN Cam Ranh Golf Links, Ba Na Hills Golf Club, Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, BRG Danang Golf Resort, FLC Halong Bay Golf Links, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang, and Dalat Palace Golf Club.

“Two years ago, Vietnam had only 30 golf courses with 20,000 players,” said Mr. Doan Manh Giao, Chairman of the judging panel and Head of the Organizing Board of the Vietnam’s Best Golf Course Awards. “This year the number has increased to nearly 60 courses and more than 40,000 players with better and better quality, bringing more exciting experiences to players. The Awards will strongly promote the development of Vietnam’s golf industry, encouraging courses to upgrade their services and promoting Vietnam as one of the most attractive golf destinations in the region and the world.”

Launched in 2007, the Vietnam’s Best Golf Course Awards have received significant attention from the golfing community and domestic and foreign golf investors as well as support from local media.
