The Royal Pavilion and R&J Italian Lounge & Restaurant at The Reverie Saigon is once again presenting two specialty set dinners recognizing the legacy of the famed Venetian traveler Marco Polo, until September 30.

One enduring tale of Marco Polo is that he took pasta to Europe after discovering noodles on his journeys through Asia and China. He feasted at the tables of emperors, including the famed Kublai Khan of Mongolia, during his expeditions, with each dinner introducing him to the wondrous spices, ingredients, and recipes of Asia.

Celebrating this blend of culinary culture, two of the prestigious restaurants found within The Reverie Saigon at the Times Square Building are proud to host specialty set dinners that feature a blend of ingredients and recipes to create one-of-a-kind gastronomic journeys through Asia and Europe.

R&J Italian Lounge & Restaurant will host a seven-course set dinner featuring a fusion of contemporary Italian and Chinese dishes, such as imported buffalo mozzarella, roasted marinated tomato, seafood soup, steamed belt fish, Wagyu beef Bolognese dim sum, mustard seeds marinated in Iberico pork belly, slow-baked USDA beef brisket, and mango sago panna cotte.

The Royal Pavilion, meanwhile, features a five-course set dinner that takes on a creative blend of Italian and Cantonese ingredients, as evidenced in the pan-fried scallops with X.O sauce, grilled pumpkin soup with seafood and crab meat, deep-fried king prawns in spices, braised homemade squid ink pasta with shredded barbeque pork in abalone sauce, and watercress gelato Henkell crystal.

Capturing the essence of Cantonese fine dining, the talented culinary team at the Royal Pavilion presents an exquisite array of authentic cuisine featuring only the finest ingredients.

Taking its name from Shakespeare’s epic romance, Romeo and Juliet, R&J stokes a similar passion in lovers of traditional Italian cuisine. Prepared under the watchful eye of a renowned Italian chef, the menu at R&J features exquisite Italian cuisine prepared with the finest seasonal produce and presented with flair right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
