The Anam has won a coveted spot on Condé Nast Traveller India’s Hot List 2017.

The Anam is a new 117-villa and 96-room resort overlooking pristine Long Beach in Cam Ranh in south-central Khanh Hoa province.

The Indian version of the prestigious magazine announced its annual compendium of the world’s best new hotels in its August-September edition.

Conde Nast Traveller India said its editors and reporters scoured the world to determine the list.

“This beach resort near Nha Trang, an hour’s flight from Ho Chi Minh City, is designed for a peaceful, stress-free vacation,” Condé Nast Traveller India wrote. “Between the 300 meter beachfront, three swimming pools, 3D movie theater, and range of dining options, there’s enough to keep you entertained. But chances are you may choose never to leave your ocean-facing villa.”

“The hotel’s scale and multiple event venues makes it a great spot for saying ‘I do’ - think a poolside pre-wedding party, a sangeet in the ballroom, and a wedding by the beach,” it added.

Owner Pham Van Hien said that he and The Anam’s team were thrilled to have been recognized by such a prestigious publication.

“There isn’t a more desirable place to be on the water in Vietnam and when I first discovered the land five years ago I was struck by its breathtaking beauty and serenity, beginning an ambitious dream that has come to fruition in The Anam,” Mr. Hien said. “To receive such recognition so soon after our grand opening in April is incredible.”

Outside of India, only 12 hotels from across Asia made the cut. Twelve in India, 13 in Europe, six in the Americas and Caribbean, five in Africa, three in the Middle East, and one in Australia and New Zealand were selected, bringing the total number of properties included on the Hot List to 53.
