Meliá Hotels International, a leading Spanish hotel group, will take over the management of The Reed Hotel in northern Ninh Binh province in May.

As a leading group in the resort segment worldwide, Meliá is increasingly positioned in the “bleisure” segment (a combination of business and leisure) in leisure-led urban destinations.

The “bleisure”-focused property in Ninh Binh will be completely rebranded as Meliá Ninh Binh by January 2020. With this newly-signed property, the group continues to expand its presence around Vietnam with a total of six operating hotels and seven in the pipeline.

Meliá Ninh Binh is conveniently nestled in the heart of Ninh Binh province, a rising travel and MICE destination, occupying the highest building in the area and offering a splendid panoramic view.

Embracing the city’s spectacular natural landscapes and cultural heritage, the property allows guests to easily reach key local attractions, including the unspoiled Cuc Phuong National Park, where the latest King Kong movie was shot at the Trang An Scenic Complex and the historical Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, within a 30-minute drive, presenting the opportunity to step inside Vietnam’s cultural adventure.

“In taking over the management of Meliá Ninh Binh, we’re excited to bring another Meliá Hotels & Resorts property to the region, further enhancing the importance of Vietnam in Asia-Pacific for the group,” said Mr. Bernardo Cabot, Regional Vice President of Meliá Hotels International Asia Pacific. “As we’ve kicked-off 2019 with a strong start, we will continue to expand the Meliá DNA across the Asia-Pacific and especially in ‘bleisure’ destinations.”

Meliá Ninh Binh provides 160 rooms with a modern design and advanced amenities, an infinity pool featuring a sweeping skyline view, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a VIP Lounge, and other facilities with thoughtful added extras. For dining options, guests can indulge in international cuisine at the all-day dining restaurant and local dishes in the specialty restaurant, whereas the café is perfect for both relaxation and business gatherings.

Meliá Hotels International recognizes the booming MICE market in Ninh Binh province and Meliá Ninh Binh will elevate the standard in the field of the city with 4,000 sq m of meeting space and first-rate MICE facilities and technologies. Managed by Meliá Ninh Binh and next to the hotel, the spacious 6,000 sq m Ninh Binh Convention Center features multiple meeting rooms designed to hold monumental meetings, remarkable receptions, and energetic events. With a solid background of international experience and the professional Meliá team, the hotel will become the ultimate place to deliver an exceptional meeting experience.

Meliá Hotels International continues to maintain its robust momentum in the Asia-Pacific region. As of the signing of Meliá Ninh Binh, there are 20 properties currently in operation and 32 in the pipeline that are expected to be open by 2022.
