The Bluffs, the golf course of The Grand Ho Tram Strip, was named the “World’s Best Golf Hotel” at the annual World Golf Awards in Spain.

The Bluffs was also ranked as “Vietnam’s Best Golf Hotel” and “Asia’s Best Golf Hotel” at the awards.

Winners at the 2017 World Golf Awards were determined by an open online survey conducted over a seven-month period earlier this year.

The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip has been nominated for a wide range of awards and accolades since its opening in 2014. The Greg Norman-designed course has been recognized by golf’s most coveted organizations as one of the top courses in the world.

Since welcoming its first holidaymakers and golfers in 2013, it has been named “World’s Best New Course” at the 2015 World Golf Awards and was included in Golf Digest’s bi-annual list of the “World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses”.

Mr. Michael Kelly, Executive Chairman of Asian Coast Development Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, the Ho Tram Project Company Ltd., which owns and operates The Grand and The Bluffs, said that these awards recognize their efforts in building Ho Tram Strip into a world-class tourism destination. “We know it is important to keep pushing ahead and leading the charge, and that’s exactly what we intend to do,” he said at the awards.

Located on a 2.2-km stretch of private beach less than two hours from Ho Chi Minh City, The Grand features a 550-room hotel, a casino with 90 tables and 600 slot machines, 13 food and beverage outlets, a spa offering a range of treatments for golfers, three swimming pools, and high-end retail outlets.

A second 20-storey hotel tower is currently under construction. When finished in 2018, it will bring the total number of rooms to 1,100 and bolster the amenities available to all resort guests.

Across the road, The Bluffs offers a golf experience reminiscent of those more commonly found in southwest Ireland.

Opened in 2014, the course shot to international prominence in 2015 when it hosted the Ho Tram Open, a $1.5-million Asian Tour event won by Sergio Garcia and voted “Event of the Year” by tour members.

The golf course comprises of a 2,300 sq m club house including dining, banquet facilities, a pro shop, and PGA golf instruction.

The course itself sits perched on a coastal sand dune with elevation changes ranging from 5 meters to 50 meters. The ground surface has a sand base with limited vegetation. The Bluffs’ coastal location provides beautiful panoramic views of Ho Tram Beach, a unique atmosphere sure to offer a variety of challenges to even the most seasoned of golfers.

The Bluff’s Clubhouse offers guests a variety of services, including a pro shop with the latest equipment and golf accessories plus access to spacious locker room facilities, including VIP salons.

Infinity, the in-house restaurant, offers a combination of Asian and Western cuisine with stunning views of both The Bluffs Golf Course and Ho Tram Beach. The ballroom features an intimate setting for weddings and cocktails with a spacious outdoor balcony available for bespoke events.

The Bluffs is currently undergoing a multi-faceted renovation project designed to further elevate its profile.

Also the site of a budding collection of single-family luxury homes called The Gallery Villas, The Bluffs is scheduled to host an Asian Tour event once again - The Ho Tram Players Championship, in both of the next two years.
