Country's largest international travel trade event being held from September 6 to 8.

The Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC) 2018 will take place on September 6 to 8 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in District 7.

Organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, VINEXAD, and Informa Exhibitions, it provides business opportunities to enterprises and promotes Vietnam’s tourism sector and expands tourism markets in Northeast Asia, North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

It will attract attendees from over 40 countries and territories, with 375 airlines, hotels, resorts, and travel companies, from Brunei, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, Germany, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Russia.

Tourism promotion agencies from 37 cities and provinces will also attend.

The three-day event will feature diverse activities such as the international tourism fair, a photo exhibition on destinations in Vietnam, and a Gala Dinner introducing Vietnamese cuisine.

The “Travel Fun Fair Day” program will offer visitors promotions and lucky draws from tour companies, airlines and hotels.

There are also seminars on key tourist markets and other tourism-related topics, such as Introducing Exciting Destinations of Vietnam, Improving the Effectiveness of Tourism Promotion, Vietnam - China Tourism Cooperation, Japan’s Tourism Market, the ASEAN Tourism Awards, and Accelerating the Use of Blockchain Blocks in the Field of Tourism and Travel.

The event is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, up 20 per cent against 2017.

ITE HCMC has established itself as an important annual international travel event in Vietnam. It is a venue for international and regional buyers, suppliers, trade professionals and media partners of tourism and travel organizations to meet and exchange the latest new developments in the industry.
