To mark its 26th anniversary during January, the Hanoi Hotel is launching a special promotion as a thank you to its loyal guests.

From January 6 to 17, guests will enjoy 26 per cent off food and receive a free voucher for another 26 per cent off the a la carte menu (except for the live seafood station) during their next stay.

To mark the Vietnamese lunar new year, Tet, the hotel has also introduced its annual collection of traditional Tet cakes, featuring radish cake, giant dumplings with sesame, “Banh ran vung”, water chestnut cake, round-shaped glutinous cake, and fish-shaped glutinous cake.

The Hanoi Hotel opened in 1989 under the name Thang Long Hotel and was known as “The 11 Floors Hotel”, and was the tallest building in Hanoi at the time. It hosted leaders from many countries, royal families, and those attending summits.

On January 18, 1994, the hotel was renamed the Hanoi Hotel after being acquired by a joint venture between Vietnam’s Toserco and a Hong Kong partner. In 1997, it was extended to one more building with another 18 floors, as it remains today. In November 2000, the Tung Shing Group acquired the shares of the foreign partner and has been running the hotel since.

Featuring 218 deluxe rooms and suites overlooking scenic Giang Vo Lake in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district, the hotel was the first international hotel in Hanoi catering to mainly business guests from Asia. It is also renowned for its complete range of evening entertainment and excellent Chinese cuisine.
