The infinity swimming pool at the Seahorse Resort & Spa Mui Ne was reopened on November 15 after a long period of repairs and upgrades.

With a total area of 480 sq m, it was the first infinity swimming pool in Mui Ne and directly overlooks the sea, giving guests the chance to relax after a tiring day.

Located in the heart of Mui Ne Beach in Phan Thiet city, Seahorse Resort & Spa is designed in a traditional Vietnamese style with bamboo and bonsai gardens. It covers almost 25,000 sq m, with bungalows, deluxe rooms, and standard rooms, all equipped to four-star standard.

Fifty-five more rooms will be opened next year, adding to the 97 existing rooms, to meet demand for holidays, conferences and workshops.

Mui Ne is to the east of Phan Thiet city in south-central Binh Thuan province, 250 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It is known as the kingdom of resorts and is a leading tourism destination for sea lovers. Besides its beautiful beaches, other nearby destinations include Fairy Stream, sand dunes, Gentleman’s Lake, Lady Lake, fishing villages, Ke Ga Lighthouse, and Ta Cu Mountain.

Mui Ne’s sand dunes were ranked seventh among eleven stunning places without wi-fi in 2015 by the US’s Huffington Post online newspaper. Known as the “Sahara of Vietnam”, Mui Ne is a beautiful stretch of sand and dunes along the coast that should not be missed. “Water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing are popular here, but the main draw is quad bike tours of the sand dunes,” it added. “Try to go early in the evening to catch the sunset.”

Though hoteliers are trying to improve services and accommodation quality, infrastructure is still a weakness of the province. In August the Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee approved a project upgrading the road from Phan Thiet to Ham Tien - Mui Ne, which is a key route in developing tourism.

With investment of VND286 billion ($12.7 million), the road will be 4 km in length and also act as the main route connecting the under-construction Phan Thien Airport, which is to open in 2018, and the center of the province.
