Hôtel des Arts Saigon is a lifestyle, boutique property with a story to tell.

Hôtel des Arts Saigon opened in late 2015, providing guests with a unique modern twist in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. “I personally love this five-star boutique hotel because it evokes a time when a voyage to the Far East was a luxurious privilege for the most sophisticated members of society,” Mr. Carl Gagnon, Hotel Manager at Hotel des Arts Saigon, told VET.

Part of Accor’s MGallery, which comprises high-end boutique hotels all around the world, Hôtel des Arts Saigon bears a signature atmosphere featuring artistic architecture and interior design. “Being in this property as well as working in an emerging market like in Vietnam has been an interesting challenge for me,” Mr. Gagnon said.

Located in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 3, Hôtel des Arts Saigon provides 168 elegant rooms, including 16 lavish studio suites, 97 Deluxe King and Twin Rooms, 22 Grand Deluxe Rooms, and 33 Sky Executive Deluxe and Grand Deluxe Rooms that fuse French design with the elegance of Indochina.

“Our owner chose the fundamental pillars of the hotel to be a lifestyle, boutique property with a story to tell,” said Mr. Gagnon. “This is what we are and what makes us different from others, and we are seen as the first international boutique hotel in this exciting city in Vietnam.”

Hôtel des Arts Saigon is a combination between the best of French “Art de Vivre” fused with a distinctive local flavor. Here Vietnam is moving forward but has kept the best from the French period in terms of culture, lifestyle, cuisine, architecture, and arts.

For example, stepping into a Deluxe Room is like stepping back in time and into French colonial Saigon, with spacious rooms of 30 sq m. Authentic colonial-period artwork take guests on a journey to Indochina in spacious Grand Deluxe Rooms of 30 sq m. Meanwhile, Sky Executive Deluxe Rooms of 30 sq m are located between the 18th and 22nd floors and provide the backdrop to colorful scenes of daily life in Ho Chi Minh City.

Even some of the paintings in the hotel are from a famous Vietnamese artist of the period, Vu Cao Dam, who created “des Beaux-Arts” in Paris. Guests can actually experience an artistic spirit from their first step into the hotel, through its curated paintings and antique collection displayed on the walls along the lobby and hallways, handpicked by the hotel owner.
That’s just the physical part of the hotel. Another highlight attracting tourists is its hosting of many artistic events, such as famous local singers, fashion shows from leading local designers, and international music from foreign artists. That is art that comes to life, not just art on canvas or on a wall.

“There is another form of art that people can only feel through our staff, our services, as well as the atmosphere of the hotel, or through a culinary journey that brings art to dishes, presenting ‘Art de Recevoir’ and ‘Art de la Table’,” Mr. Gagnon said.

With spectacular panoramic city views, Hôtel des Arts Saigon’s Sky Lounge exclusively offers a new level of exquisite services and luxury experiences for the most discerning leisure and business travellers. The hotel also boasts a vibrant restaurant, an art-café, and a rooftop lounge bar offering guests a tantalizing choice of Western and Asian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, tea, cocktails, dinner, and midnight snacks. Ho Chi Minh City’s fashionable crowd love the sophisticated art-café, which evokes French elegance and old-world glamour.

With its exceptional customer experience, world class accommodation, and luxury offerings, MGallery Collection was honored to take out the prestigious title of “Luxury Business Hotel” in 2016 and “Luxury Architecture Design Hotel” in Southeast Asia by World Luxury Hotel Awards in 2017 for its distinctive modern romantic design. Mr. Gagnon told VET that Vietnam is clearly a significant emerging country and developing at a fast pace. “Being a design-based hotel with a boutique concept, we care about our guest’s experience, offering them lifestyle and artisan services,” he said. “We want to create memorable moments that focus on local culture and arts.”

As the most recognized brand for women travellers, the hotel implements a special program called “Inspired by Her”. The hotel also joins in AccorHotels’ social responsibility program called “Planet 21”, in which its supports local non-profit work and promotes sustainability.
