Customers can never go passed Ngon (Delicious) Restaurant when looking for a restaurant that serves the most famous Asian food specialties right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

Ngon Restaurant has chefs in charge of Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Chinese specialties. The most popular area is the Vietnamese kitchen, which serves more than 100 specialties well-known around the country, out of a menu of around 200 dishes.

Northerners who have been away from their hometown can find a bowl of northern “pho”, La Vong fish paste, or fried crab spring rolls, while those from the central region are very likely to choose “bun bo Hue” (Hue style fresh rice vermicelli soup), My Quang (Quang noodles), or savory steamed rice cakes.

Foreign customers can also find famous Vietnamese and Asian specialties. The restaurant has expanded its menu, adding more Asian dishes. According to Mr. Quoc, Sales & Marketing Executive, “The restaurant is spacious enough to serve up to 400 customers at a time. We have welcomed and served many leaders and delegates from foreign countries. The restaurant once served a delegation of around 300 guests. Favorite dishes include Pad thai (including stir-fried noodles), stir-fried scallops and broccoli, Chinese dishes, deep-fried taro dumplings with chicken, and dried shrimp and fried crab spring rolls.”

The restaurant is located in a French-style villa on about 1,000 sq m, highlighted by several green areas with plants. The open space of the restaurant makes it comfortable for diners and it’s decorated in darkish shades to reflect the features of old times. These same features are found in the general design at each of the many Ngon Restaurants. The gate has a roof with old-styled tiles, with the name of the restaurant written on a piece of wood. The restaurant chain belongs to a couple who have been working in the hospitality industry for decades. They are well aware that the image of the country can be promoted through national food specialties that are the quintessence of the country.

They have a great interest in national traditions, so have collected the prominent characteristics and decorated their Ngon Restaurants in the most impressive way. The owners often make a few changes so that regular customers find it interesting each time they come back.

Some green plants have been added, pieces of furniture replaced with new ones, armchairs taken the place of big sofas, and smaller umbrellas set up in place of bigger ones. All such features give the restaurants a new look.

Ngon Restaurants always make a great effort to satisfy customers’ tastes for Asian dishes in the most fashionable way. With the advantage of a city center location, Ngon Restaurant at 160 Pasteur Street in District 1 serves hundreds of customers of different nationalities every day.

Once in a while, the owners expand the spaces of their restaurants or open new ones in cities throughout the country. They have also expanded to Europe, with a 250-seat restaurant opened in Berlin, Germany in 2017.

To recognize the significant values of the Ngon Restaurant chain and its huge contributions to the development of Vietnam’s smokeless industry over the past 18 successive years (2001-2019), The Guide has presented it with The Guide Awards every year. A restaurant representative said, “Lovely! Priceless! The Guide Awards have been a fantastic friend of the Ngon Restaurant chain for nearly 20 years.”
