VN-Index maintains 800-point level

Mixed fortunes on HSX and HNX on September 14.

The VN-Index closed above 800 points on September 14 as the HNX-Index lost ground.

On HSX, the VN-Index increased 3.54 points (0.44 per cent) and the VN30-Index 2.98 points (0.38 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index fell 0.05 points (0.05 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 0.75 points (0.39 per cent), while the UPCoM-Index rose 0.06 points (0.11 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3.3 trillion ($152.1 million), 7.4 per cent lower than yesterday, and on HNX was VND752.4 billion ($18.3 million), 78.8 per cent higher.

The VN-Index opened at 803.34 points and rose to 805.19 points before ending the morning at 806.34 points. It then closed the day at 806.32 points.

In food and beverages, TLG increased 1.3 per cent, TAC 1 per cent, and VNM 0.1 per cent, while KDC lost 0.7 per cent and VCF and BBC closed at their opening price.

In banking, STB increased 1.7 per cent, SSI 1.6 per cent, CTG 0.8 per cent, VCB and BID 0.7 per cent, and MSN 0.5 per cent. VCI lost 2.8 per cent, BVH 0.7 per cent, and VPB 0.1 per cent, while EIB closed at its opening price.

In energy, GAS rose 3.6 per cent and PVD 0.4 per cent, while PGD lost 0.6 per cent, PPC 0.5 per cent, and PLX 0.4 per cent. NT2 and PVT closed at their opening price.

In construction and real estate, QCG gained 3 per cent, VIC 2.2 per cent, ROS 1 per cent, CTD 0.9 per cent, and NVL and FLC 0.5 per cent. DXG lost 2 per cent, ITA 1.5 per cent, REE 0.7 per cent, and HT1 0.3 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were HCM (VND22.4 billion ($973,913)), PHR (VND14 billion ($608,695)), PLX (VND11.4 billion ($495,652)), PAC (VND10 billion ($434,782)), and GAS (VND7.2 billion ($313,043)).

On HSX, VCB was the largest net sold share, with VND53.7 billion ($2.3 million), followed by FLC (VND40.9 billion ($1.8 million)), NVL (VND20.6 billion ($895,652)), VNM (VND18.2 billion ($791,304)), and PVD (VND9.6 billion ($417,391)).

PVS was the largest net sold share on HNX, with VND12.6 billion ($547,826), followed by TNG (VND2.5 billion ($108,695)), TV2 (VND954 million ($41,478)), SHB (VND693.4 million ($30,147)), and PVE (VND500.8 million ($21,773)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 119,200 shares worth VND7.57 billion ($329,130).

They net sold on HSX by VND114.46 billion ($4.97 million) and on HNX by VND12.07 billion ($524,782).
