VN-Index & HNX-Index close up

Other main indexes lose ground on September 6.

The VN-Index and HNX-Index closed up on September 6 while other main indexes lost ground.

On HSX, the VN-Index increased 1.24 points (0.16 per cent) while the VN30-Index lost 0.05 points (0.01 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index rose 0.12 points (0.11 per cent) while the HNX30-Index fell 0.86 points (0.45 per cent) and the UPCoM-Index 0.15 points (0.27 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3 trillion ($130.4 million), 1.29 per cent lower than yesterday, and on HNX was VND560.9 billion ($24.4 million), 31.37 per cent higher.

The VN-Index opened at 792.16 points and fell to 791.7 points before ending the morning at 791.39 points. It then closed the day at 793.55 points.

In food and beverages, BBC gained 0.4 per cent as VCF and TLG closed at their opening price and VNM lost 1 per cent and KDC 0.7 per cent.

In banking, VPB increased 4.8 per cent, EIB 0.4 per cent, and MSN 0.2 per cent, while STB and BID lost 1.7 per cent, CTG 0.8 per cent, and VCB, SSI, and BVH 0.4 per cent. MBB closed at its opening price.

In energy, GAS rose 0.6 per cent and PVD 0.4 per cent, as PLX, NT2 and PVT closed at their opening price and PPC lost 1 per cent and PGD 0.6 per cent.

In construction and real estate, QCG gained 5.1 per cent, HT1 2.8 per cent, ROS 1.7 per cent, and FLC 0.7 per cent, while NVL closed at its opening price and ITA lost 0.7 per cent and VIC, CTD, and REE 0.4 per cent.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were PLX (VND18.9 billion ($821,739)), SSI (VND9.2 billion ($400,000)), AAA (VND8.6 billion ($373,913)), VCB (VND6.8 billion ($295,652)), and HT1 (VND6.5 billion ($282,260)).

On HSX, NVL was the largest net sold share, with VND36.5 billion ($1.5 million), followed by CII (VND13.5 billion ($586,956)), HPG (VND11.6 billion ($504,347)), MSN (VND11.5 billion ($500,000)), and BMP (VND6 billion ($260,869)).

PVS was the largest net sold share on HNX, with VND10 billion ($434,782), followed by CEO (VND2.7 billion ($117,391)), VCG (VND1 billion ($43,478)), PVE (VND523 million ($22,739)), and PVB (VND141 million ($6,130)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 131,165 shares worth VND3.3 billion ($143,478).

They net sold on HSX by VND50.6 billion ($2.2 million) and on HNX by VND1.51 billion ($65,652).
