VN-Index continues downwards

Losses again for main index on December 7.

Main indexes on HSX fell on December 7 as those on HNX, apart from the UPCoM-Index, rose.

On HSX, the VN-Index lost 8.99 points (0.95 per cent) and the VN30-Index 10.32 points (1.10 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index gained 1.16 points (1.02 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 1.05 points (0.48 per cent), while the UPCoM-Index lost 0.23 points (0.42 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND3.9 trillion ($171.8 million), 25.6 per cent lower than yesterday, and on HNX was VND800.9 billion ($35.3 million), 11.6 per cent lower.

The VN-Index opened at 950.23 points and fell to 941.25 points before ending the morning at 939.21 points. It then closed the day at 938.65 points.

In food and beverages, VCF gained 7 per cent and TAC 0.2 per cent, while VNM lost 4.6 per cent, BBC 4.2 per cent, and TLG 0.5 per cent. KDC closed at its opening price.

In banking, EIB increased 3.6 per cent, MSN 1.9 per cent, BVH 1.8 per cent, and BID 0.6 per cent, while SSI lost 3 per cent, VPB 2.2 per cent, CTG 0.9 per cent, and VCB, VCI, and MBB 0.8 per cent. CTG and MBB closed at their opening price.

In energy, PGD rose 2.4 per cent, GAS 2 per cent, and PVT 0.6 per cent, while PVD lost 3.5 per cent, PLX 2.4 per cent, PPC 1.5 per cent, and NT2 0.3 per cent.

In construction and real estate, NLG gained 4.3 per cent, QCG 3.6 per cent, ROS and HT1 0.9 per cent, and NVL 0.7 per cent, while REE lost 2.6 per cent, CTD 2.5 per cent, VRE 2.3 per cent, VIC 1.4 per cent, and DXG 0.5 per cent. ITA closed at its opening price.

The Top 5 shares bought by foreign investors were CII (VND14.3 billion ($629,955)), KBC (VND10.8 billion ($475,770)), NLG (VND10.7 billion ($471,365)), CVT (VND8.2 million ($361,233)), and NT2 (VND5.3 billion ($233,480)).

On HSX, VNM was the largest net sold share, with VND95.8 billion ($4.2 million)), followed by VJC (VND37.4 billion ($1.6 million)), VCB (VND33.6 billion ($1.5 million)), SSI (VND31.6 billion ($1.4 million)), and ROS (VND12.5 billion ($550,660)).

VGC was the largest net sold share on HNX, with VND3.6 billion ($158,590)), followed by VCG (VND1.7 billion ($74,889)), PIV (VND378.9 million ($16,691)), SHS (VND298.1 million ($13,132)), and DBC (VND293 million ($12,907)).

On UPCoM, foreign investors bought 101,630 shares worth VND3.59 billion ($158,149).

They net sold on HSX by VND180.1 billion ($7.9 million) and net bought on HNX by VND2.26 billion ($99,559).
